Consumers’ Research Council of America compiles a list of Top Psychiatrists throughout the United States annually by utilizing a point value system. This method uses a point value for criteria that they have deemed valuable in determining the top specialists. The criterion that was used and assessed a point value were: each year the psychiatrist has been in practice, education and continuing education, membership in professional medical associations, completing an approved residency program and passing a rigid examination on that specialty.
